Kaylla is a member of BLUElab, and is in the second year of a project in Dolatpura, a rural village in India. She is in India to work with rural communities by providing stoves that will improve the health of women in the village. Currently, local women burn coal in their huts six hours a day and this is detrimental to them and to their children. The stoves will be built from local materials, and educating the many doubting men in the village about the importance of improving the stoves their wives use is key to the project’s success.
